Quiet, quirky and creative, Rachel composes instrumental, chamber, and orchestral music and has been teaching piano, theory, percussion and drums for over ten years. An award-winning composer, Rachel holds associate representation with the Australian Music Centre , is the coordinator of the Young Composers Competition for ASME QLD , holds professional membership with MTAQ and has a current working with children suitability blue card. Rachel has been a private music tutor in the Redlands at schools, private studios and at her home since 2003. With over ten years of experience, she particularly loves guiding beginners of every age to build confidence in their personal journey of music.

Success in learning frequently depends on finding the right Music Teacher; someone who knows the subject well and understands how to inspire others. My teaching style focuses on skills training, but also emphasises self-exploration and discovering a passion for something new. Take a look at the lessons I provide and choose the right one for you.
Fees are charged in accordance to the Music Teachers Association Queensland (MTAQ) tuition rates and go towards payment of teacher, administration costs, advertising and maintenance.
Lesson Rates: $35 for 30min; $70 for 1 hour
Suitability Age: 4 years old and up. Adult students welcome. Lessons available from beginner up to grade 8 AMEB standard. AMEB Classical or Leisure, TRINITY and ABRSM exams available.
